Naysun Alae-Carew

Naysun started making films under the Haphazard name in 2004 while teaching in China. They weren’t very good initially, which is probably the reason he kept on trying. A graduate of the University of St Andrews with a degree that makes him sound pretty smart, Naysun went straight into freelancing and corporate film making. His zombie horror TAPE 04 (2008) won Best Film at the Half Cut Film Festival 2009 and in the same year in Hong Kong he co-directed and -produced feature length documentary A SENSE OF AYSLUM with Charlotte on the subject of refugees and asylum seekers.

After producing ZOMBIE MUSICAL in 2010, Naysun joined Black Camel Pictures as a freelance producer, and entered into a co-production with them for making a feature version of Zombie Musical. He then won a BAFTA New Talent Award for Best Producer for his work on the short. He is now developing several films and webseries, as well as spending time doing a mysterious project in Hong Kong.

In his spare time, Naysun likes to find more things to do.
