A founding member of Haphazard, Ryan studied Film and TV at Stevenson College and Film at Edinburgh College of Art. As a writer/director, Ryan combines a cinematic eye with a healthy desire to push the boundaries of traditional genres. He was nominated for Best Director at the BAFTA New Talent Awards in 2011 for his short film ZOMBIE MUSICAL – a feature version is currently in development with our friends at Black Camel Pictures. Ryan’s latest short, TOAST will finish post-production in late 2011.
Ryan is also trained in cinematography, sound, sound design and many other useful things, and is frequently called upon to work as a Director of Photography.
In his spare time, Ryan likes to watch Ryan Clachrie trim his beard.
